That one is a real bitch on the harp. In my younger and more ambitious I tried it in a harp-guitar duo context, with so-so results. (Those hammer-ons can´t really be reproduced.) I -think- you´re skipping a few notes (?) but you make it sound convincing (apart from that dud near the end, he he) and that´s the way to go. Complimenti.
Haha, a bit tricky this one to play note for note so I've taken some liberties :) Yes, the dud usually happens just when you begin to think 'it's nearly over now I think I'm gonna make it' :) ---------- My MBH Profile Grey Owl YouTube Grey Owl Abstract Photos Website
Thank you Frank :) The 'Flanger' effect (around 40 secs) I did with my mouth (but there's reverb on the harp). It's something new I've been messing around with and wanted to use it on this song to break up the 4 repeated phrases. So I ended up tongueing the phrase twice normally, chord once and then this flanging effect once.
I do it by sort of softly flexing my lips on the harp while narrowing/widening the aperture in my lips. It's of limited use but it adds a different texture. I've got another Mac track I want to try it on which might sound cool. ---------- My MBH Profile Grey Owl YouTube Grey Owl Abstract Photos Website
