Hi guys

Got

marine band , suzuki etc

I need to buy G and F is it a good idea to use Low F instead of regular F ? I will play harmonica with my guitar and I was thinking to use low F

I do not want to buy a harmonica and not use it much so will spending for low F and high G is waste of money ?

I use G a lot, although I don't even own a High G, never found a reason.
I also use F a lot for blues in cross (C).
I do use my Low F, but mostly in 3rd position for songs in G minor. It comes in handy there.

I never use hi G. I probably use low F and standard F about the same amount. Just depends on the song and what role the harp is filling.
You’ve got a great variety of harps there. If you’ve just started, maybe give it a while and see what you like, and if there is a key you miss having.
I play Chicago-style, amplified in a 4 piece band where I sing around half the songs. On the others I’m playing accompaniment. Primarily I use A and D harps, and I take 3 of each to gigs. I also use C harp quite a lot. I use F a few times, Bb, G and E. But 80% of my stuff is covered with A harp and D harp. I play A harp in 1st, second and 3rd; it’s by far my most important key.
If you’re singing, you may have a favourite key, you may also avoid certain keys.
If you’re accompanying others, or jamming or sitting in where you don’t get to call the key, you’ll need a full set.
Just depends on you and what you’re needs are

I'd try a brand or model you don't have yet, to broaden out your knowledge, both of those are good choices, but remember that Suzuki, Seydel And Hohner, make a variety of harps at different price points, and you don't have to buy the most expensive to sound good.

I loved my Lucky 13 F from Easttop. It combines a standard F with a Low F octave. Very useful

Lucky 13 is winning some fans. Seydel Session Steel is well-priced and the Blues Session (brass reeds) is cheaper again. my experience of the Blues Session is that it can be quite acceptable.
The Manji may be the real bargain in low-tuned harps.
Lee Oscar but are solid value harps and have a reputation as very hard-wearing

i forgot to mention the Rocket low F, possibly also up there in price.
my 1847 is ok, but not much cheaper than a T Bird at least where i live. i like my T Bird but for the amount of use i make of Low F its quite an indugence

I think a regular F harp is useful to have for playing in C, it's a particular sort of insistent sound IMO. I find it a bit shrill above the low/middle so for that kind of thing I've tended to use Bb in 3rd position in preference to a Low F.

I bought a Lee Oskar Bflat and sent it back because it seemed like it had air problems. Like there was a bad seal or something. Got the Special 20 BFlat and problem was gone. Just my .02.
