Hey Killa, did I read you have this amp?
And anyone else
Can you tell me how the 3 speaker jacks work on the back? And what I would use them for? I know it doesn't connect to a PA I think...
I haven't ordered it yet but I'm thinking about if I should at some point have a monitor in addition to the amp. I don't know that those outputs would work for something like that or not but just wondering.
The reason I'm thinking about a monitor is because if I sit in with a band that's super loud I wonder if having my own monitor will help a little if the amps not loud enough. And then I don't have to rely on the band or sound person as much. I know that I would mic the amp in a very loud situation so wondering best setup for monitor. Just thinking of ideas...

The VHT's internal speaker is disconnected when you plug an external speaker cabinet into any in of the 3 rear panel external speaker jacks.
Alternately, you can replace the internal speaker with a different impedance speaker, and plug the new speaker into the back panel input of the appropriate match. That's what I did. I removed the back cover mesh to route the speaker cable to the rear panel. The mesh rattled at volume, so it had to go anyway.

I was chatting with someone at guitar center tonight and I understand how I would set up a monitor now.

Personally I would buy one used. I bought mine for $150 .. with a line out mod and harp mods.
You can find em.

Ya, keeping my eye out. Prob will end up getting new will get a good deal from guitar center with their 15% off and I have a period of time to try it out. I also have a used Boss dd3 pedal for a good price I have on layaway at GC and Ill try with the amp when it comes in or any other amps they have. But I'm looking everyday on Craig's list to see what's out there.

It's a darn decent amp for the price.
I also liked the bugera v5 when I tried it. They are pretty cheap too.

Ya, I tried the bugera v5 a few times. I liked lt and used it to compare some other amps and liked the bugera the most. Prob would have got a used one if I didn't decide on the vht. there's usually one or two used on Craigslist in my area asking around $135
