I have a Fender Champion 100 in the house at the moment, so I tried it out. It's got two channels, a clean one and a 'voiced' one.

As with all amp emulations I've tried, none have quite that sharp edge to the notes as I get on my tube amp. It's a softer edge. I've always wondered why that is, but will never know. But the Harp Break does it too.

Six little phrases, tube amp then Champion...
1 Tube amp
2 Champion - Champ Voice
3 Tube
4 Champion - Clean channel + Harp Break
5 Tube
6 Champion - Champ Voice

I did all this at low-ish volume with an ambient mic rather than micing the cabinets close up. (I've an attenuator on the tube amp so it can go pretty quiet). The Champion can go very loud.

Here it is for your delight.

I have trouble distinguishing 3 and 4, and it was like that in room. Good old Harp Break.
