It's a rare day when I don't hear something on MBH that I like and want to practice. Today it was on Walter Tore's Spontobeat. Often a good source of inspiration. His song '2-1-16 Shake off the Down' has some brilliant twiddles (remember I coined the phrase, trills using the 4D and its bend?)

Either look in the thread about the IBC winner, or this is that page it took me to below. The twiddles are about half way through. Really nice.

For no particular reason I went to look at the Bottle of Blues microphone website. I like to revisit things I've not heard for a while, just to see how I feel about them now.

Anyway, during the demo, after some noodling he goes into a bit of a nice riff that jumps from 2D to 6B and then wiggles down. This isn't it exactly, but what I extracted from it to use...

Mtg ... that Twiddle thing was interesting.

It's funny how we sometimes get locked in on the sounds that "are harmonica" but if you go back to just playing around, you can come up with some pretty cool and usable sounds
