I recently bought a lot of random old harps from the last several decades. All of them haven been taken apart and cleaned- then carefully "nailed" back together.
Not a single one plays "well". Even if its in tune and gapped well. They are very quiet and airy. They also struggle to bend...
If had a little luck with some light (unskilled) embossing. These are mostly just project harps- or tinkering harps but does anyone have any tips for getting them in well working condition.
They are blues harps and marine bands by the way.
