Did a gig tonight and got a massive nose bleed half way..god what a pain, you can't play harp with blood all over the place.
I have been having a lot of these since my mum died last year, maybe it's stress....any ideas guys ps my wife says stop blowing your nose!!

Could be the cold weather,
Could be something that needs checking.
Stress/high BP is possible

When I get a bloody nose I make sure I actually apply direct pressure for 5 full minutes, even if the bleeding stops before that. Then I hold a hot washcloth over my face for a few minutes. Saline nasal spray can help too, just make sure you get the right solution. They sell hypo, hyper and isotonic solutions. The one I use is isotonic. One of the other two (I forget which) dries the nasal passages out.
Or, maybe it's time to audition for GWAR. Hope it gets better.

Get your guitarist to bleed out the fingers and you got yourself an act! Maybe you could do some KISS covers.
If it becomes a constant problem, you could always have the inside of your nose cauterized. We had a few bleeders in the gym who's nose would bleed even after moderate sparring. They needed a solution to compete, so they got it done. It seemed to work very well.
You could just be a victim of cold, dry weather but cauterization is certainly a solution for a persistent problem.
