I think this is the same inside as the Peavey harp mic. Any comments on sound?

Yes, it is the same. It is a little cheap dynamic element. See the "good harp mic for budget amps" thread.
Opinion A) All tone comes from you. Mics don't matter Opinion B) Its not bad - it works My opinion: It's not bad, it works. The better you are the better you'll sound. It depends on what you want - if you like the way it sounds, that's ALL that matters. But if you want what many bullet players want, which is to sound like their favorite bullet players like Kim, Rod, Charlie, Mark Hummel, RJ Mischo, Deak Harp, etc..... you can do better. I don't find that it breaks up easily or nicely, and it has a lot of high end which, in the absence of effective compensation from the player, can sound harsh. ---------- /Greg

I have one of these. I liked it, but I like my wooden GH bullet mic more.. ;) It's very good value for the money I think, and you don't fall in tears if something happens to it (as opposite for the GH one).

The D112 was the first harp mic i owned. I was really happy with it and it served me well as a first mic. Like Greg says the tone comes from the player and you probably will move onto other mics as i have but for £45 you will probably have alot of fun with it. ----------

I have been gigging with one for a year now. I downgraded from a mic which I now use for home playing/recording only (after we had some gear go "walkies" at a gig). The Superlux is perfectly adequate for the job.
