On the AC/DC song Long Way to the Top, the bagpipe parts. Any idea on how close you could get to that on a harp, and how?
I assume it was made with bagpipes I'm not sure, could have been synthesized but it sounds like pipes.

It's definitely bagpipes. I grabbed the nearest harp, my trusty LO in Bb and it seemed to fit. Try tongue blocking some octaves, but send more air through the top hole. I'm not sure if it would help with this particular piece, but a tongue flutter while you're playing the octaves can help with a bagpipe sound, although I think that works better at the low end of their range. That should give you a passable bagpipe.

I seem to recall another thread about bagpipe sounds and I think there is even a tuning designed for it. You might try searching the forum archives. There can't be too many references with to bagpipes.

The bagpipe lines are fairly easy to do on a Bb or Eb harp and playing them through an octave pedal should sound OK

Wow, check out the vintage cars in the video. That must be Bon Scott. Man I saw those guys warm up for Kiss in the 70's. You talk about High energy!

I once saw an ad for a bagpipe tuned harmonica. When I told my instructor about it, he said "I'll bet that would clear out a room!".
