I've booked a room for Thursday night through Sunday in Williamsburg,Va. I believe a few members from the Huntington, WV Harmonica Club will be coming too. It will be my first time at one of these weekend harp events.
I saw Adam's name on the flier as well as Dennis Gruenlig. One of our members takes Skype lessons from Dennis and will be tickled to see him REALLY face to face.
Anybody else going??

Hey Jim. Williamsburg is in my neck of the woods. This is the first I have herd of this event. Do you where I can get more info? I just might see you there. ----------

Really can't argue with the price & the location is much more do-able for me then HCH (in which the round trip ticket is twice the cost of the event, haha). I wonder how good the workshops will be, whether or not organized like SPAH. Will Adam & Todd have a workshop going??? If so I'd be down! I'm going to boil this over it would be great to go just to say hi to Todd Parrot again and Adam!

I've been to two of them and.... It is a small scale event in comparison to SPAH. However it is lot easier to get one on one time with the featured Harmonica Players. It's very enjoyable and a great time to just chat about harmonica stuff. The concerts are great and most of the workshops are educational.

Could this be a dry run for SPAH 2011, which will be held in Virginia Beach this year? I've never done a harmonica festival myself.
I'm thinking if Richard Hunter, Adam, and Dennis G. are going to be there, it'll be worthwhile. And Allen Holmes lives just up the road; I'll ask him if he's planning to go as well...

I consider it a trial run to SPAH. I too, have never been to a harmonica festival (though I have been 3 times to Augusta, Elkins... fabulous btw).
Along with my harps, I'll also be taking my acoustic 6 string, electric bass, and personal fake book with over 100 tunes. If I can find a few blues players, I can keep them going for a few hours or more (as long as they will settle for basic strumming and average singing). ---------- intermediate level (+) player per the Adam Gussow Scale, Started playing 2001
