Randy really builds some beautiful harps. He's one cool dude too... I love the look of his Special 20's! I have a bunch of his GM combs which Joe Spiers used on my customs. Congratulations man - these are great looking harps!

Miles - Please don't be abusive to fellow forum members, even if it is using Italian slang! There's just no need for it.

I'll apologise in advance if you meant something else (although I doubt that you did).

Ray, beautiful work there! I especially love the Zebrawood, both for its looks and the fact that it's rock hard. I have a dart case that a guy made me 20 years ago. I have carried it around the world and into many a barroom. It's been dropped, thrown, spilt on, used as a coaster and even as a weapon once, and there's not even a slight scratch or indentation on it. The only finish on it is tung oil, too. Oh, and it's pretty.

Yeah, I was going to chime in...Miles is dating himself with that statement. He meant no ill;just regurgitating a commercial from the late '80s-early 90s.

Stickman - That might be what Miles meant and if so I apologise unreservedly. However in Italian slang it also means to masturbate.

@kingley, seriously? I find that hilarious... One of the biggest gaming consoles of the 90s is slang for jerking it in Italian? I use to play seta for hours.

@ray, looking forward to hearing you play em on yer channel.

I still play SEGA on a daily basis. My Girlfriend hates me playing SEGA.

Strange thing is. Ive not owned a SEGA console since the late 80's. :D

@tolga "facepalms" thanks for the correction :)

@Rubes - too right man. Im working on a complete overhaul of my kit!

@Todd Parrott- thanks man! Now all i have to do next is learn how to play!

@toddlgreene - Im willing to use my harp as a weapon of ass destruction should some knucklehead try to play it without my permission! :D

@oda - Yeah man, I will have to make a vid for youtubes - ive been real slack of late - i want to do a B-Radical one. I make a vid - then it goes on for too bloody long - I want to keep the vids simple, informative and quasi entertaining. Ill keep you posted !

Does anyone know if Randy Sandoval is still in business? His website has been down for quite some time now.

Thanks for the reply Todd. Randy made me a comb with protruding convex tines for a Delta Frost Harp. It works perfectly for me. Best harp I ever had! I've talked to some other builders but they don't make the combs because there is not much demand for them.

The thing with protruding tines is that the one percent of folks who really like them really like them! And the 99 per cent of folks who don't like them really, really hate them!

I can make combs with protruding tines. I make my combs on demand so I don't have to commit to keeping a stock of them to be able to offer them.

Protruding combs don't allow me to get that deep
"Fat" tone (is it OK to say fat?) that I strive for,
I much prefer flush front combs.
