OK, but far from perfect. Check MXR Carbon Copy, LoneWolf HarpDelays, Boss DM-2, maybe BBE Two Timer ---------- Excuse my bad English. Click on my photo or my username for my music.

I guess it depends on whether you are buying new or used. If new, Boris and others have alternatives. I bought a delay pedal used and cheap ($40), at a guitar shop, and got lucky 'cause the guys here said it was pretty darn good.

FWIW, Jason Ricci also made a video about some of the pedals - BBE vs. others he has or has tried. You can hear the differences between them.
I'm at work so I can't play the video at volume but I believe this one was it, or one of them:

HBIP - I bought a used DD3 off eBay a few months ago. It arrived in nice condition and works with no issues. I basically copied exactly how Kudzu has his settings and I have to admit, it's alot of fun.
For me, it's made playing less a little easier because it just makes all your notes hang a little longer. I'm afraid to use the terms thicken or fatten SOUND for fear that it will be misconstrued for thickening/fattening TONE which it DOES NOT.
Anyways, it's still a nice simple tool that allows me to play with a little more variety and it kind of brings a warmness and roundess to my playing.
Ultimately, there are other pedals that will allow you to do the same thing. I got mine because I was trying to replicate what Kudzu demonstrates in his first video.
Have fun,

Boris, thanks for undermining my credibility :)
I just become very wary of making any bold statement like, "This product makes your tone better". I have no experience with a true Analog delay, but I know the Boss DM2, DM3 are pretty sought after... and I'm sure there is a good reason for that.
