I was just going through some old harp parts and ran across 4 new sets of Weltmeister Blackbird reed plates in the key of High Ab. I thought about putting them on Ebay, but I'm not sure if anyone would even be interested in them.
Was Weltmeister ever connected with Seydel? Or did Seydel buy them out? Some of the old Weltmeister models looked similar to some harps in the Seydel line.

it's the same thing. parts are interchangeable. And the Bushman Soul's Voice is the same harp too... ----------

Hey, cool to know about the plates fitting in the Soul's Voice, Jim! Thanks!
So were Seydel and Weltmeister the same company once? Is that what you are saying? I've often wondered about this.

AFAIK, Seydel entirely bought the Weltmeister company and the blackbirds were seydel's low-end product (no idea if those are still produced).
As for Bushman, they sold them weltmeister parts to be used for the Soul's Voice. The covers are IDENTICAL, with the same paint, the picture on the covers is the only thing that differs.
Blackbirds and Soul's Voices had 3 screws in the coverplates. Modern Seydel Sessions have 5 screws out of possible 8. No idea how many did the old Sessions have. ----------
