i notice there are a few Australians use the forum. I guess we are all aware of players like Jim Conway, Ian Collard, Chris Wilson, Brod Smith, Matt Taylor. I am wondering about other players who don't have such a high profile but are worth checking out.
For instance, there was a bloke went by the name Harper i heard a couple of times and really liked. haven't heard of him for a long time now.
Here in Hobart there aren't too many i know. Ian Beecroft has been at it a long time and goes well...but who is else is active around the country?

It's been a couple of years since I was in Oz. I'm not sure if these guys are "still active around the country".

But, besides Chris Wilson, you've got Brett Shannon from NSW and Indiana Phoenix.

Kenny Terrington (Stringybark McDowell) I think he's from Perth. He's more of a one man band dude with his guitar, but he does lay down some perfectly acceptable and raw-flavored harp.

Where's that opinionated NastyOldDog? He should have some input on this. Probably stepped away from the keyboard and is out walking the dog.

Good night, Dog.

Tell the Kid I enjoyed the tracks on the MySpace sites. Let me know when he gets a disc out there.

Oh, and the next time you run across Indiana P. ask him if he remembers the Yank diver that played a little harp one night outside the Pub. Let him know I said hey.

Now, for the sake of everyone.....go get some beauty sleep.

Norman Gunston was on TV in Britain decades ago. It's a pity he never made it big whereas that Crocodile Dundee shite did.

Another flashback. Somewhere I have some slide pictures I took of Frank at a concert. I had this huge camera lens I would borrow. Security would look at it and must've thought I was press because I could get right down to the stage. I had a buddy that followed me down and threw Frank this pair of crotchless panties that had a whistle hanging from the front. My buddy took a stencil and painted "Ship Ahoy" on the back of the panties. Frank picked them up, checked them out, blew the whistle then turned and posed for me giving me the peace sign while holding the panties, priceless. Those guys were serious musicians, great show.

I don't mean to take away from this thead but thanks for bringing the memory back.
