if you listen til the end. I hate to be that guy who says "oh wow, here's a song that has HARMONICA", but it's an unexpected turn for Mr Johnson, as far as I know. I haven't listened to his music in 5 years or something, so I'm not well-placed to say.
jack johnson has g-love play harp on many of his songs.
i am actually surprised g-love is not discussed here more often, he is pretty modern blues with his rap/blues/beatbox funk thing, and he plays a passable harp
with jack johnson
and with special sauce and their rippin bass player
My co-worker let me borrow a bunch of albums this past week. Coincidentally, one was Jack Johnson To The Sea. I knew nothing of this artist and normally wouldn't have checked him out. But, I did turn it on cause it was something different to me. To my surprise my harmonica radar picked up harmonica, mostly quiet and nearly unnoticeable in the background on a number of tracks. I was wondering who it was now I know it's g. love. Though, Jack's music doesn't do much for me other then feel chill. Reminds me of a islandic John Mayer on many margaritas, lol. Near the end of this album I start to feel is it over yet but mostly it's cool. I dug this album more then Mayer's latest, even with the cool cover of Clapton's Crossroads.
