I can't take any list that considers Lars a great drummer seriously. In fact, I can't take Metallica seriously. It's not so much the music, it's the whole suing people over downloading their music, which in of itself doesn't bother me... I think it's a penny wise, pound poor strategy, but what bugs me is the hypocrisy of it, since they've ripped off other bands songs virtually wholesale without so much as a thank you. And Lars plays tennis. You can't play tennis and keep your heavy metal cred.

Okay, rant over.

I always like the harmonica solo here by Robert plant. it comes in at 2:49. He doesn't do it as well live though.
Bring it on home was good too.

I saw Zep 3 times back in the day at Madison Square garden. Got pushed through a plate glass window getting tickets once. Ahh, the good old days.

@Tommy the Hat: Lol. I saw Zep at a "Day on the Green" in Oakland, CA. in 1977. Slept out on the sidewalk in front of the coliseum the night before. Smoked whatever communal offerings came my way without question. Yes... the good old days for sure.
(btw, Rick Derringer and Judas Priest opened for Zep)

Zach P, Your take is always, ah, interesting.
"The song wasn't about groove, it was just about...deepness. You either get it or you don't I guess."
I'm south and I know you're way up north -but I'd really like to meet you someday. Talk blues, play harp. See what you're really like...?

I am not sure which version of You shook Me this is, Youtube has taken it down,so I am not commenting on this song. I love Plant's harp, especially on Levee. I think he can bend, play single notes and use vibrato. To me, that is what good harp playing is all about. You can throw a million techniques at me, but if you can't do those three, you've got nothing. If there were two harp players who could both do all 3, but one played with good timing, good note choices and a lot of feeling whereas the second did the same but threw in 80 million other techniques, personally i would like he first guy better. I often do not practice what I preach, but give me simplicity any day. Plant rocks hard on the harp. No, he is not even close to the technical wizardry of some of our heroes, but I don't think we listen to technique, we listen to music. He's got more music in his little finger than etc....

EV630 is not wrong about anything he said! The context for which songs are recorded or performed are different from band to band. I never liked The harp in Led Zepplin. I also think Led Zepplin was a GREAT band! I don't like the harp in Stones music untill Suger Blue. Most Rock music doesn't have great harp in it because its guitar driven music for the most part. I don't spend much time thinking about it. The last 2 minutes is about it!
I did think the harp at the beginning of blackfoots "Train Train" was cool. I also liked "If you want to get to heaven". Oh when the Thunderbirds went Pop Blues Rock in the late 80's they had that song "how do you spell love". That had a cool harp part.

there were occasions that jim morrison played harp with the doors on stage but heard it was a shame that john sebastian was not on stage playing as jim was a lousy harp player
