I had never heard of this guy and his name keeps popping up from the SPAH attendees. You can hear a few cuts on his Seydel link below....would love to hear from other SPAH players about him and see some videos.
I didn't get a chance to say hi to Bart at SPAH but I did hear him perform and I was quite blown away! Skilled players keep popping around every corner.
For his performance that was not at the blow off event he used a looping peddle to make different beat effects kinda like some of the guys do here but he kept playing in different genres. One song had a strong African sound, another very techno, another was more of a jazz, etc.
Hey here's a clip from the last blues jam they did:
Unfortunately at this point I was dead asleep to prepare for my 15hr drive home, lol.

This is great video! I saw or talked to all the people who played so it is especially cool for me. I wonder at what time this jam was (and how I missed it)? I love Eric Noden's steel top guitar. He was a great guy to talk to. Too bad his kazoo solo is cut off at the end.
All the solo's here are just plain fun. Alex Paclin is the young man playing the first solo. I heard him play a lot and it often seemed to me like he was playing so quietly or muffled. But looking at this video I can see that the way he is holding the harp in his first solo, his fingers look to be covering up the holes even though at first glance it seems that he is in a more open handed position. I know I'm guilty of this quite often as well.
Barts solo here doesn't give you any idea what he can really play. He's the guy who looks a bit like Pee Wee Herman who starts playing around 2:09. I wish Ronnie Shellist would have taken a solo too!
Bart was one of the best things I heard at the convention. His playing is clean, melodic, soulful, inventive, and just good! He plays way more mature than his 31 years. ---------- "Life...10 Holes & 20 Reeds At A Time"
Bart's playing blew me away. He is relaxed and fluent, very musical. Really nice guy besides. I was really sad to have missed his show on Friday night - I hope someone got video of it!

I've downloaded one of Bart's track around 5 years ago and was really wondered who is it. He is great. ---------- Excuse my bad English. Click on my photo or my username for my music.
I shot the video you see on this page. The jam happened in the lobby outside the main hall on Saturday night just after the official program finished (Howard Levy's concert and then some raffle business). Thanks Greg for listing the players in order. Number 3 is Jake. I jammed with him a couple of times on my new Larrivee OMV-05 purchased at the event - ya I should have played harmonica more! I have more video of Bart and will try to put some up on ultimatejamtracks at youtube
