Ahh, I was actually thinking about tomorrow as usual..
I'm logged into the chat at the moment though, and I'll be for another hour or so. If some more feel like chatting a little now... IM me (i.e. modernbluesharmonica).

Otherwise,... as it seems at the moment. There will be another jam tomorrow night, as usual.
For those that don't know... the mbh-chat skype handle is 'modernbluesharmonica'. Add it as a friend in advance. Then around 8 Central Time tomorrow write an IM and you'll be added to the chat (prob. by nacoran).

I'd like to join in again. Have a meeting until about 8:30 E.S.T. It used to start 7:00 C.S.T. Did you move it to later?

The first chat I accidentally changed who was hosting the call somehow. It was actually useful, but I can't figure out how I did it. That would let us use one address for people to call, but let us have a roving host for whoever is there at the time. We could start earlier and end later based on who is on. I'm going to go read up on Skype how-to's now.

Creating Skype Chatrooms
To run a moderated chatroom on skype, you need to know these commands. The pre 4.0 interface provided a GUI for these commands. the post 4.0 interface seems to have fewer working commands and no GUI. It does support group conference phone calls and both kick (temporary removal) and kickban (permanent remove) and well as a lurker mode for the world in general.
–Initial setup /set options +JOINING_ENABLED /set options +JOINERS_BECOME_APPLICANTS /set options +TOPIC_AND_PIC_LOCKED_FOR_USERS /get uri
Public URI needs to be updated should a chatroom lapse.
– Can people join? /get options /set guidelines Joiners must be approved before chatting.
– Add a user /add foobar /setrole foobar USER /whois foobar
– Deal with bad behavior /kick badguy /kickban realbadguy
– What’s going on /info /get guidelines /get options

Prevent people from joining the Skype chat You can use chat commands to lockdown your Skype chat and prevent any unwanted guests. Skype's Public Chat service has a built-in "allowlist" and "banlist". These are used to grant or deny access to the Skype chat. To stop people from joining your chat, you simply need to ban everyone, then allow only your friends. The command to ban everyone is /set banlist +* That will stop any new users from joining your chat. As a bonus, it will also prevent existing users from adding people to the chat. The command to grant access to your friends is /set allowlist +friend1 +friend2 +friend3 This will allow your friends to join and leave the chat at any time. As the host, you can temporarily add guests to the chat, /add guest1 As they have not been added to the "allowlist", when the guest leaves the chat they will not be able to return. If the guest doesn't leave the chat, you can eject them, /kick guest1 These simple commands allow the host to control the Public Chat and prevent abuse by malicious users.

If anyone has any idea what I just said, let me know. Skype hurts my brain.

OK, I'm online. Still haven't come up with a good solution for my speaker/mic situation.

I'd like to be there but it seems to be 3am finnish time. Got to sleep sometimes.. Last night I woke up at 3:30am though and couldn't get any sleep - wish I would have known about that chat..
EDIT: Seems that it wasn't 3am after all. So it can't be 1am in the UK either..

So what time do you begin? Finland is 6:30 less than CST. If you start at 7pm CST it would be 12:30 here and that should be ok for me too..

Apskarp, we've been trying to figure that one out. Last night, like Tuckster said, I handed off the duties to Chris. I logged on at 8 EST. I actually checked back around 12:30 AM when I got home but the call had ended. If we can get more hosts to switch off to we can keep the call rolling. Another possibility is another night. I think the time I usually sign off (12 am EST) is a little early for the west coast people, and the Australians are still nowhere near ready. If we could get one person in each time zone to host for an hour, or one person in every other time zone to hose every other hour, we might have things work better. (The last two weeks have been weird for me, but usually I can be there pretty reliably.) The other possibility, if someone can figure out that code I posted up there, it seems to be possible, at least in theory, to let people add themselves to a call, more like a chat room. I could turn my computer on at X time even if something came up and people could pop in and see if anyone is around. There are other chat programs too. Pidgin seems to support voice conferencing through AIM protocols. I spent a couple hours yesterday trying to figure stuff out but I couldn't figure anything out except that the Skype forums seem to have just as many arguments as we do. :)

Ok, if it's 7pm EST then it's 3am here and not possible for me.. These time zones are really difficult, I have to deal with them often in my work. But not for the next month as I'm on vacation! :)
