Are killing me. WTF is up with EBAHB using abrv. for everything?
Seriously, FWIW, IMHO I can't understand what some of you are saying because of all the acronyms.
I work in public schools, its even worse there. Acronyms for EVERYTHING!
Please, stop the madness.

I agree with phogi at least 1000%. Is it really too hard to spell a phrase out? I can read a phrase a whole lot faster than I can try to figure out what those letters stand for, and I can't figure them out half the time.

Abbreviations are essential. But in typing they should be a different set from the set required for txting, unless making some ironic reference. Some of them cross cultural boundaries successfully, like roflmao. And how could we cope where I work without things like RTFM, which is a good way to mitigate aggression? ---------- Kinda hot in these rhinos!

the thing is, nobody should be reading "W" "W" "W". if you see the letters together, you know what it stands for. we dont sound out words, we recognize the grouping of symbols. that is all the abbreviations are.

you wouldnt. it should be assumed by now. for instance, this site is just "modern blues harmonica dot com". or tell folks to google "modern blues harmonica". if folks cant figure this out, do we really want them doing anything with electronics?? lmao

You don't need to use WWW anymore in a URL. Just type name.co.uk or whatever and that's enough. If you look in the browser text field, you'll see that it will automatically add an http abreviation automatically which is all it needs. Oh! http = hypertext transfer protocol.
