Anyone got a good place to order online in Canada, I tried 2 places as of yet (tomleemusic and musicianwebstore), takes forever (still waiting from musicianstore, an order placed 2 weeks ago).
I cannot find a single online dealer with MB crossovers (in stock or not).
I'm in eastern part or Canada.
thanks

I recently ordered my first online purchase (other than ebay) from musicianswebstore.com. The prices are good, and they have product that I can't get locally (I ordered a Manji). I should receive my order today, ordered over a week ago. But, I'm patient. They probably have to get most of the stuff from their suppliers too.
But I'm curious about other sources.

thanks mr,
I'm curious, how do you know you're gonna get it today, I placed the order a while and I don't get any kind of order tracking from their web site, no shipping date, no nothing, did you get an email when they shipped?

Rockin' Rons Ships everywhere. Shipping is only free in the US though.

@praefect, I paid with PayPal, then got a "thanks for your order" email. A week or so later, when they shipped my order, I got another email with the tracking info.
@KingoBad, Rockin' Ron sounds great, but in Canada we get burned on shipping and brokerage fees over the US border. It's cheaper to go domestic. But at least the exchange rate is decent now.

The bricks and mortar location of Musiscianswebstore is Glen Loates Music store on Appleby Line in Burlington just north of the QEW. If you go into their store they have most, and I say, most, of these on the shelf. They have one of the most thorough inventories I've seen, in Canada anyway. I'm around the corner from them so its awfull convenient on my way home. Of course if they don't have it then they do have to order from their supplier or the manufacturer.
I have used them online and I have walked in too and gotten excellent service from them either way. If you are concerned please call them and they will advise on your order.
I also use PayPal when on line so I get the shipping info.
I use them exclusively after getting ripped by others not shipping after paying. ---------- "Keep it in your mouth" - XHarp

Actually I should have mentioned that I decided to order from Musicianswebstore because I remembered that Xharp had said some good things about them in another thread --- and because the prices were good. Thanks Xharp.

I have ordered from Musicians Web and have dropped in - good experiences both times. The prices seem pretty good right now. They must follow the dollar rate pretty close. ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!

Thanks everyone,
I'll just be more patient, it's true that the prices were very good at this place.
As for getting screwed with brokerage fees across the border, it happened to me more than once, there is actually a class action suit against UPS regarding this practice... since then I order from the US only when I can assure a delivery using USPS, never got any brokerage fees for that. It is a good tip to know when you can't avoid the underground railroad.

@praefect That is good advice about avoiding UPS like the plague. I got a good deal on a mic from the US on Ebay and the seller only shipped via UPS. It cost me as much in shipping and brokerage fees as it did for the mic (US$20 brokerage on a US$35 purchase), and UPS does not tell you up front how much the extra fees will be, they just make you fork it over, COD. Actually, I had to drive way out to their warehouse on the edge of the city to get my package, because nobody was home when they tried to deliver. It's WAY better to use the good old Canadian and US postal services if at all possible.

I'm resurrecting this topic to mention another on-line supplier. I recently purchased a Seydel Blues Favorite with Paddy Richter tuning from Harmonicaland, an on-line store run out of Quebec City. While their communications with me regarding in-stock availability and shipping were a little confusing, I did eventually get the harmonica after a few weeks. It ended up being sent direct from the supplier, Rupert Oysler, in North Carolina, but I only paid domestic postage. So Harmonicaland seems to be legit, and has access to a wide variety of harmonicas. I'll probably use them again. ----------

I agree about musicianswebstore It is a very good choice! I have ordered lots from them. And there prices seem very good esp with the Canuck buck moving up. I bought some Suzuki pro masters and have also bought a guitar case and a guitar pickup from them. Reliable.

I've ordered lots of stuff from the US and have yet to pay any extra fees. Yes, shipping can take a few weeks.
Eastern Canada? Hohner Crossover? Try this: http://www.nantelmusique.qc.ca/produit2713_75/hohner-marineband-crossover.aspx
I ordered a Korg CA-1 tuner from them and it took three days for me to get it. They seem to be excellent. They seem to have competitive prices, too. Shipping was 8$, if I am correct...
