Hey guys... I was over on reddit and the old question about nickel in cover plates came up and I thought I'd try to do the issue some justice by getting companies on the record. Does anyone know the best points of contact for specific companies? (I have a few places I can guess, but I know sometimes some people have better info than the guy who answers general inquiries...)

I'm interested in historically too. I figure if I can make a chart that shows everything we can put this to bed once and for all. (Also for reed plates, although that only really matters on protruding plate combs)

Some of the alternatives people mentioned are Turbolids, or painted lids...

Looks like a lot of them are on FB. Of the companies I could think of only Huang didn't have some way of reaching out to them.

Here are the companies I could think of-
Jiangsu East Musical Instrument Company (Easstop
Lee Oskar/Tombo
Suzuki
Kongsheng
Hohner
Hering
Swan
Seydel
Huang

Yingxiang? Can't find any contact info for Johnson, Bends is gone, Harrison I think had nickel, at least in some, I think Merano may be out of the harmonica game,... there seem to be a bunch of different brands on Amazon but I don't know if they represent different factories our are just companies hedging against one bad review. (Doug and Melissa is terrible but I think they subcontract).
