I love stuff like this because it shows a talent in the development stage...like hanging out at Jimi Hendrix's house with a tape recorder when he was just getting into his guitar style...

Yes! Alan’s released version of Help Me is perhaps my favorite harp song ever. On the tape he already had his signature sound but he eventually learned that less is more and he saturated it down to perfection, both vocally and on harp.
