I just bought a MXR Carbon Copy delay pedal used but it did not come with a manual. Could anyone provide a good starting point to set the dials at please. I am not a player who wants a lot of echo. Just a fatter sound.

Try all 3 knobs set to 9 o’clock and the mod button off. Any adjustments from those settings should be relatively minimal. The manual isn’t much help anyway, so you’re not missing anything.

One way to check your settings is to tap your mic gently with a harmonica. If the tap generates multiple repeats, turn the Regen knob down a little. I like the CC a lot. Not sure that it is actually true bypass as claimed, but I leave it on just about all the time so that makes no difference.

Thanks hvyi. I'll give that a go. I did Google the manual Garry but I was hoping for a starting point from a harp player's perspective. Hvyi provided that. The online manual did not. Appreciate the help.
