Hi all,
I am a beginner on the harp.

Listening to this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsqTkkUzH5w
I can only tell that Phil's harp is lower in key than my C harp.

I would find it motivating for practice to have a harp in the same key and try to copy Phil (expecting to fail, but practice).

Can you help??
Thanks a lot!
Danny

The song is in the key of E, i reckon, you will need an A harmonica and play in second position. If you have some kind of Slowdowner that will help. Mostly, have fun.

This is quintessential Piedmont Style playing...the stuff of house parties, etc. Worth repeated listening for a beginner (and the rest of us, too).

You could play the c harp in 5th position Key of E
Phil Wiggins is a virtuoso on the harp and he plays in many positions. learning positions is a challenging journey but it is possible.
