Hi folks . I just bought a Lonewolf mojo pad deluxe . My problem is, when on normal it works a treat, when i switch to dark its like pulling the plug. Dead .
Does anyone out there have any ideas what may cause this.
My amp is fender blues deluxe reissue.
Regards.. Warner

Glad you posted this, as I'm thinking about getting a Mojo Pad for my Fender Blues Deluxe. I had swapped out a preamp valve to mod it for harp, but I also like using it for guitar (it sounds so good with my Gretsch) so the Mojo Pad would be ideal. I was umming-and-ahhing between the standard and Deluxe pad. What is the 'dark' setting supposed to do?

Sounds like a bad connection. I'm sure Lone Wolf would be happy to fix or replace the unit.

The "Dark" setting is supposed to be the same as the original Mojo Pad. The "Normal" setting adds a capacitor to compensate for high-frequency loss through the L-pad.

+1 cold solder.

Easy fix if you know hot to solder, but the Lone Wolf guys are going to help you for sure.

I have the standard mojo through peavy 4x10 fake bassman---i like the simplicity ---i have velco'd to top of amp---either side can be in or out-- wo

works great-w/out it--- max volume is 3-4 then feedback--even with harp shield---

with volume starts at about 6 and go to 10 if on clean channel

pt being it allows to use an amps tubes more/cuz yr starting at 6---anyway I like it --i love its simplicity and size

Take cover off check for broken connection, if good check for continuity with a meter
If good it could possibly be a bad switch, but that would be unusual
Not much to go wrong with these
Might try a different cable first
Remotely possible you could have an issue with the cable that shows up intermittently
Randy will replace it if bad
Try these easy things first

Would this be useful when playing through a PA?

Thankyou all for your replies . Your the best ...
I have returned and they are sending another.
I would recommend this as it does make a difference . Im told when switching to dark also deepens sound . I will message again when i get it back and give you an update.
Worked and made a difference on normal.
Thankyou all again

doctom---not really---its made to be able to push a tube amp further w/ less feedback
when u use a tube amp -u need to drive the tubes hard enough to distort---the mojo helps with that ---digital and or solid state distortion from driving a pa head hard sounds horrible
check lone wolf sight as well
hope this helps
