A friend of mine who did quite a bit of international travel put me onto this band. The Harmonica player is a guy called Dave Morris. He has some great chops and tone
This band is so tight and has such a great sound. I love "letter from St Louis" using a C chromatic but sadly there's nothing on YouTube but there is this one from the CD I have. I really like these guys sound and again never heard anything about Dave Morris here, I believe he went back to a teaching job!?!? There are a couple of live clips of the band back from 1999 that are worth searching out.

The ULTIMATE party blues band from the 90's - Ann Arbor! They knew how to play as a unit.

These guys should have been world famous, but luck passed them by...If this is the live album, it is well worth seeking out.

Dave Morris now teaches at a gym - perhaps somewhere in Minnesota was the last I heard. Jim Rasmussen/Bass is now a fixture in the Toronto music scene. Their drummer has relocated to, I believe, Boston area. This bass/drum combo was killer and I imported them along with Ben Wilson on keys from Big Dave (along with Nick Moss from Chicago) to back up Kim Wilson at that legendary SPAH 1998 blues show.

Today, Ben Wilson is the keyboard player for Blues Traveler.

Big Dave broke up the ultrasonics in favor of a more traditional acoustic band approach..

Ultrasonics - My favorite band from 30 years ago...

As of 3-4 years ago Dave Morris was living in the Ann Arbor area and gigging with different local bands. Madcat Ruth speaks highly of him. I saw him a couple of times with a local band and he was really impressive. Terrific harp player and very enjoyable to listen to. I spoke with him for a few minutes after one gig and he was a very nice down to earth guy.

One of their songs that I really like is "If I Don't Jump." My friend, Jeff Mason, really nails it.

I just came across this track, again from the CD "NO Sweat". I don't think there's a bum track on the CD.
