I found a few tracks on Youtube by him, one that I really liked is "Worn Out Shoe" and there are 4 or 5 numbers in total. I've looked to see if he's recorded anything but haven't had any luck finding anything. Nothing on Amazon. Does anyone know anything about him? The two clips below are from 2014 and don't seem to have been viewed by a whole lot of people. Anyone familiar with his work?
Johnny is somebody who I'd never heard of until we were both part of a show in March 2018 at Black Eyed Sally's in Hartford CT. Very strong player. His sound had a lot of Jason Ricci in it; he claimed that I was an influence, but I didn't hear anything that sounded like a ripoff. One of those guys who doesn't tour, so most American harp players may not know who he is. But there are quite a few guys like him out there: they'll pull you right back down to earth if you get too big for your britches. ---------- Beyond the Crossroads: The Devil and the Blues Tradition
He's a member here on the forum. Here is a link from an old Paul Delay discussion. http://www.modernbluesharmonica.com/board/board_topic/5560960/5495186.htm
He goes by the name Johnny Charles. Awesome unknown player for the most part for sure.
I agree with Adam. He brings you right back down to earth. Running our harmonica retreat does that for me every year when someone comes out and is nearly as talented as the instructors.
We use to be in the same band at different times. It was called the Knuckelbusters. Like Kham said ( Johnny "Charles" Marino) is a superbguitarist harp player and person. ---------- www.mooncat.org

Thanks Moon Cat...it's "Nucklebusters"...No "K"...Frankie will have your head. LOL ...and thanks for the kind words Adam...that show "rocked"!
