Speaker suggestions for Silvertone 1432, aka the George Smith amp?

I know the ohmage is weird. I think it’s supposed to 4 ohms, but is never actually 4.

but, reading of 3 to 3.5 ohms would be normal for the 4ohm tap.

you might also have an 8 ohm tap which would make speaker swapping easy.

I didnt know George played a 1432? He played a 1433, Rod P. has it. Its covered in blue tuck and roll metalic marine vinyl.

The 1432 is one of my least favorite amps for harp, too bright , harsh for my taste.
Probably has a lot to do with the cabinet/baffle construction as well as the stock speaker.

I would go with a dark speaker with good bottom end. Try a Vintage C12N or a Weber equal. A Eminence Can Rex another good option.
