Being a Michigan native, I highly recommend this workshop by virtue of the setting surrounding it! (as well as the teachers)

That's really cool, Iceman - I didn't know you were from MI. My girlfriend is also from MI, so she's excited about this one cause she gets to come along and visit family. :) Steve's a jazz pianist and he's brought me up to play a couple times in Petoskey, and I love that town. Hope to make it to Mackinac Island one of these trips.

It looks like a great retreat in a beautiful setting (I visited Petoskey during a vacation in Charlevoix a few years ago). The event features really good instructors. When I saw your post I immediately checked my calendar.

Unfortunately, our annual CU Folk & Roots Festival (10 year anniversary!) was moved to this same weekend. I am a long time volunteer running sound and sometimes playing. I hope you have good attendance, and if this event is repeated in future years on a date when I can attend, I will be there.
