I tried a new Supro Tremoverb amp and really loved it. When I went to buy it there was a 1962 Premier 120 sitting right next to it. The comparison wasn’t even close so I bought the Premier!
How do the new Supros compare to the vintage Supros (for harp)

I tried a new Supro at a music store awhile back (I forget which model) and didn't care for it. Played it back to back with a new Princeton and liked the Princeton a lot better.

Vintage amps are their own thing, and some are great for harp.
The dilemma that I have with these new all-tube guitar amps that "may" be good for harp is that when they get into the $1,000+ range you are very close (or right at) the cost of a new dedicated harp amp from those who make harp amps like Mission, Lone Wolf, Memphis Mini, HarpGear, etc....and those are amps that you presumably won't have to make tube or speaker swaps to get where you need to go, tone-wise.

Great point Tomaxe!
And there even are some price points now that are very affordable which is important.
I haven’t tried that Stage 5 amp yet but the concept of taking a cheap Chinese amp and modifying it to suit different artists with a few different setups! That could really go somewhere.
