I've bought a non-reverb, older UK model Laney LC15 in full working order at a bargain price. I know Kingley and Mark (5F6H) have had these amps before, and they can be workable for harp. I've had a couple across my workbench in the past so I know what I'm working with with regards to the schematic and the PCB, and the weak points (PCB tube mounts, output transformer)
If anyone has had any experience of circuit mods, speaker swaps or tube subs in this amp I'd be grateful for your input.
The amp comes with the Celestion Tube 10 speaker, and although they're OK I have either a blue frame (20W) or black frame (35W) Eminence 1028 that I can swap in, or an Alpha 10A, and the usual range of preamp tubes (5751, 12AY7, 12AT7, etc) that I can sub in.
