There was a post on one of the Facebook groups a couple weeks ago about a 'new' Chinese harp manufacturer. Cheap, with quality comparable to Easttop. Does anyone remember or know the name? It wasn't Golden Bird or Tombo.

Was it Kongsheng? I saw something recently about a harpmaster-style thing they call the Amazing 20.

Am I correct that Brendan Power had a relationship with Kongsheng prior to working with Jiangsu (EastTop)? Perhaps he might care to comment. =========== Winslow

It might be Kongsheng, but I thought the price was about $12.00 for a diatonic.

I’m seeing the kongsheng amazing 20 on aliexpress at $13.26 USD
It was specifically that model I saw people talking about recently, and they were all saying it was $13 or ‘south of $13’. I think they’re more than that on amazon though.

Kongsheng is a good harmonica maker. I've been to their factory and worked for them at the Shanghai Music Expo a couple of years ago. They make a big range of diatonics but so far no chromatics.
The Amazing 20 is their lipped comb 10 hole, based on the Suzuki Harpmaster. It's the base model for my 10-hole PowerBender and PowerDraw harps, as well as the Bushman Delta Frost.
They work closely with Zhang Xiaosong, a good Beijing diatonic player who has the biggest harp teaching website in China. He gets a few own-brand models made for him by Kongsheng that are very popular in China.
They are good people and make good harps at a great price - you won't be disappointed :-)

I recognized the similarities with BP's PowerBenders. I guess Ben Hewlett's Sonny Boys series are also made there, judging by design/appearance. Can anyone confirm that?

I'd love to try these but my harps never seem to die...
Does Kongsheng or Easttop or any other eastern company offer good low harps (other than the low F)?
I saw Kongsheng offers paddy tuned harps, maybe I'll give that a try?

AFAIK no low-key Chinese harps yet, aside from my Lucky 13.
Interesting to see that two of my early inventions, half-valving (1980) and Paddy Richter tuning (1992) are now mainstream enough to be produced in commercial models by Chinese manufacturers Easttop and Kongsheng.

So, there is Kongsheng or Easttop. I've also seen Bee. Am I right that they are low end Easttops? And what about Swan? or Blessing? (My first harp was a Blessing my grandmother bought me on a vacation to China.)
