A friend ask me to look at his used harps. They were all in different boxes; (marine Band, Old Stand By, Special 20s) but they were all the same harps. they all said "Lo Duco" Blues Harmonica. They were all in great shape. each had a black plastic comb. They were made in China. I did not know the name Lo Duco, but i told him they were probably a Hohner Harmonica, of some type. I also told him that being in good condition they are probably worth around $15.00 each. Just hoping someone here can enlighten me on this particular harmonica. All help appreciated!!!

Never heard of this one before, so I googled it,
several listings even directs to this forum and a topic from 2011, it was part of a list of cheap harps someone didn't like, as for price doesn't look like they go for much over $15.00 new.
Could be a good first harp for a complete newbie.

“Lo Duca” harmonicas came in a 7-piece set complete with case and DVD instructions for about $50USD. They were packaged with the slogan “It’s fun and easy to get started” and the logo of “LoDuca Bros. Inc.”

According to the NAMM website,
Jim Lo Duca’s father and uncle were the original Lo Duca Brothers, who formed a small music store in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that opened for business on December 1, 1941. Seven days later America was attacked in Pearl Harbor and soon after that Jim’s uncle was drafted. Jim’s father, Tom, was too young to be drafted so he stayed to maintain the store. During that time he enrolled students for his accordion programs, which went on to serve over 1,000 students and employed 30 teachers. Tom designed several student-proof models, which were later distributed by Sears under the Silver Tone name. When Jim joined the company full time he oversaw the relationship with Sears, which lasted more than 30 years. Jim also expanded the company to make and distribute wines made in Italy and in fact the company continues to sell musical instruments and wines to this day.

Well I prefer a cold beer when I play, but wine could work too, just have to figure out which keys goes with red and which keys goes with white.
