In this video Mitch plays amplified MiniChrom in his modified Richter tuning (explained at the end). He packs in lots of quotes from jazz and blues classic tunes in this tasty short clip:
"Wacky stuff" . . . Hey Mitch, you have been watching my videos, haven't you? Hehehehe
I worked on some of his CX-10s, they still work fine but he probably is happy to have brand new harmonicas instead-- And they probably have less clack!

Mitch really committed to the Richter half-valved chromatic for his blues/jazz style after I started making the CX10 around 2000. Since he doesn't do his own repairs, after I quit my alt-size CX range (incl. CX16, CX14 etc) in 2006 he had to get his ageing stock of CX10s repaired by various well-known harp techs - you're in good company, Gary!
Not only did Mitch want old ones fixed, he also wanted new ones, in different keys, and I would get urgent pleas every year or so to make them. But my focus was on new stuff, including the TwinDiatonic series of harps.
I knew the TD MiniChrom would answer Mitch's prayers, if he could adjust to the smaller size and moving slider/mouthpiece, because it gives him a modular Richter chromatic that he can attach various rear units into to create different keys.
I told him something new was in the works six months ago and he hassled me on a regular basis to let him try it. He's a determined man - I like that :-)
Mitch deserved the first prototype, which is what he's using (hence the naff colours, just random filaments that were in the printer at the time). I thought if Mr. Weiss didn't like it, then probably others wouldn't either - so was paying a lot of attention to his feedback.
To start with he found it quite odd and difficult after the larger, more conventional CX 10 but, determined man that he is, he stuck with it. Now, after only a month or so, we're hearing some very cool stuff coming from Mitch and the MiniChrom. This medley is a knockout!
