Hi all!

This is my first post on here. I've been playing harp a long time, but only recently have gotten more serious. I've been playing Lee Oskar harps for years and have always like the harps labeled "Natural Minor". I recently bought a Suzuki Munji harp and noticed, besides being labled in 1st position, the 6 draw was a half step fla from what I'm used to (which, if I'm not mistaken is actually the natural minor scale). Anyway, I like the sound of the Seydel harps over the Lee Oskars and I'm wondering if the natural minor key layout on the Seydel is the same as the Suzuki with the flatted sixth (6 draw)?

Thanks for all the great posts on here and I'm looking forward to hearing from you and participating more!

Seydel minors are the same as Hohner and Lee Oskar.
If you are in the USA and bought the Suzuki harp from a domestic dealer, you are eligible to have the Manji retuned so that draw 6 (and 10) are normal.
I am the Suzuki harp tech, give us a call at 800-854-1594. I am only there on Tu-Thurs, and am only there a half day on Wednesday of this week--I have a gig . . .
I don't know why the Japanese tune these this way!

Thanks Gnarly, that's great news! How long does the turnaround take?

I ordered a bunch of Munjis a while back but ended up sending them back because of the tuning irregularity. The seller was apparently unaware they could be retuned by the company. I'll probably get one to play in A minor to go along with the one I just ordered from Seydel.

Thanks again!
