I heard a young gun at spah playing over 145 stndard blues progresssion--
He hit the 6 ob and bent it up into a lick--Told him i wanted to record it but never got around to it.
if u could record your favorite 456ob mainly 6ob, as most all my harps do 6ob easily.,
This kid got me fired up on 6ob again--anyway, any audio examples of yrs or names of blues songs that use the 6ob is appreciated--especially 6ob bent up --maybe what key harp is in thanks

I do a dive bomb on 6 ob. Rather than bending up for a microtonal ornament (like you hear in Ricci's), I start the Ob really high, at least a whole tone above, then slide down to the Bb and then release to the G.

Sometimes I also do the reverse, hit the Ob just below the Bb (because 6obs are a touch flat from their target tone). Then slide up as far as I can. The effect is kind of like the aaaooo from aaaaooo aaaoooo peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat.

Other than that I bend obs for feel and inflection,l of that note, more so than using the bend to motivate a lick.
