I played the whole album back at 1/6 speed when I was transcribing John's solo for the four songbook. He played a lot of cool stuff that went by way too fast at full speed.

As I listened to the track, I decided to record me playing along on my phone. I had no idea that the harp track was also a part of the isolated guitar track, and was surprised that I somehow managed to hit record and then stop exactly as the actual harmonica track came in!

Wow man....I thought Irish reels were fast...I bet you would nail the Kerry reel...impressive, especially since you just decided to do it spontaneously

It only took 15 years of practice to do that, lol. Thanks.

Honestly, though, I can't play long solos at that speed beyond a Blues Traveler song or two. It is really hard for me. I tend to play fast in bursts rather than in long lines.
