True story....My wife tried to surprise me for Father's Day. She was using my computer and noticed I was watching these Shure PE585V mics. My 585 is my fav stick mic. Mine just has the switch and I'm too stingy to buy another just to get the VC.
She said, "I didn't have time to get you a gift, so how about you buy that mic you've been watching."
At first I thought I was dreaming. My wife loves me, but I don't expect her to understand this whacko harp journey I'm on. I scoured eBay for hours yesterday looking for the ideal mic. I ventured from the 585V to EVs to bullet mics only to make a different decision.
I told her this morning, "I have lots of mics. I don't have 'Approved by Snakes' by Jason Ricci & the Bad Kind.
Got a $17 CD on a $150 mic budget and couldn't be happier. Now to wait on the UPS man....
