Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums, and pretty new to the world of harmonicas.

I'm Mike, 34 years old, from Plattsburgh, NY and I used to play guitar. I had to give up guitar due to a horrible pain in my wrist which prohibits me from playing much longer than 30 minutes. I was never much of a blues guitar player, but I do enjoy listening to the blues (along with all different types of music). In all honesty I just want to know how to play the harmonica whether it is recognizable tunes I find tabbed out, or learning some of the cool blues riffs provided by Mr. Gussow's lessons.

I've only been playing the harmonica, steadily, for about a month now. A few years back I purchased a Hohner Marine Band which I absolutely loved the sound of, but the wood comb swelled up and started hurting my lips. When I got back into it a month ago I went to my local guitar shop, which doesn't have much of a selection, and grabbed a Special 20 in the key of C. I found a few teachers via youtube, but the one that stood out the most was Mr. Gussow. His ability to teach and at the same time provide a bit of humor is what I love about him (the first video of I saw of his was with him in his car, I was playing along and all of a sudden he slapped the camera and said "PAY ATTENTION" it was hilarious because I was definitely not paying attention at that point).

This seemed like one of the most active harmonica forums available online, so I figured I'd join in order to ask questions if and when I need to. I do plan on buying the deluxe beginner lessons available on the site to up my harmonica skills a bit.

Sorry for the long introduction, I'll step away from the keyboard now.

Welcome aboard. Always good to see New Yorkers representing! (I'm down in Albany myself).

My journey began in Corning NY. It looped around to Texas, then Arkansas, and now we are full time musicians on the road.
