Thanks for this upload. When my mother was young, she played & taught what my dad referred to as the 'lemon squeezer'. Growing up, I remember many Saturday evenings during the Summer, my mother would play the sweetest Polka music in town, with all the old timers from Poland would come to listen. And she was the reason I started playing musical instruments (I actually started out playing bass guitar, owning a Fender P-Bass & a Peavey 160 watt amp at one time). Now I'm primarily playing both diatonics & several chromatics, thanks to past automobile accidents that left me disabled. Afterall, a Suzuki Bluesmaster, or a Suzuki SCX-48 weighs alot less than a P-BASS hanging over my shoulder and supported by my back and spine.

As a kid, my Dad had several Dick Contino recordings. 45 years later, I played with his son a few times at a blues jam. He does his father's memory proud.

Noir master James Ellroy (L.A. Confidential) wrote a great short story called "Dick Contino's Blues." Highly recommended. Thank you for uploading this clip.... the man was definitely a badass.
