Hi all from Australia! just joined up. I have been looking over your shoulders for a little while and thought I better join up. I have had a harmonica in my hand since I could talk (now 44) have been able to hold a tune for years but blues music has been a challenge. I decided recently to start learning the blues. Adam, your YouTube videos started unraveling the mystery for me. I have started on your tradebit downloads. Great stuff! I don't get much time to practice so it is slow going. Anyway thanks Adam for the great site, and to all on here also. Look forward to sharing some stuff in the future! Cheers Cal

Hi Cal and welcome to the forum from a fellow Aussie.

I'm originally from Brisbane but have been living and working in Adelaide for over a decade now. Great city to live in.

Good luck with your playing and enjoy the ride!

First, welcome to the forum, great bunch here and a real source of answers and encouragement!

I hope you take any opportunity to jam with people around you. One key thing that pushed me to improve was surrounding myself with my "betters". It's a journey, remember. I was invited to sit in with guys and join bands before I felt "ready", yet if I remembered my manners on stage and did my best, all was good. If you find one good partner you can go a long way as a duo. Over 40 years I have worked in many incarnations but at this point a duo makes the most sense. My lovely wife and best partner ever and I are embarking on a never ending tour!

Thanks for the welcome one and all. I have just been out in the shed restoring a Hohner marine band echo tremolo, 192 reeds to play with! Re built the comb it had damaged teeth, restained and laquered the reeds had years of build up on them and they are now shiny. Will get covers rechromed next week. That aside. Now to start practising the blues!

I started life in Strathalbyn, my Dad taught at the High School. We were there for the Centenary in 2016. Grew up in Adelaide, now live in Sydney.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of great advice and links to different players and music.
I've learnt so much being here.
Been in the Southern Highlands for just about 3 years now having left the Sydney mayhem and loving it.

I was helping a friend coach a soccer team over from Canada for the Master's Games in '09. We gave the player of the match a tiny jar of Vegemite and told them it was a lifetime supply.

(It's not too bad if you spread it thinly.)
