May you all have a better day on the forum than Caesar did! :)

I suppose the salad is better than having one of his famous sections

I guess I missed the Ides of March. Actually isn't that March 15th?

My sister was a big Shakespeare fan and always went around warning me, "beware the Ides of March". For some reason, perhaps my birthday being the 16th, she seemed to think this was apropos. Cancer got her, March 15th, about 3 years ago.

Iceman, I guess that's two days in a row I missed the obvious meal. I missed my Pi day meal too (snowed in, couldn't get to the store for pie).

MP, yep, March 15th (yesterday).

Thieven, sorry for your loss. It's never good to lose a family member, but it's worse when it's close to another important date that reminds you every year. My family has a cluster of birthdays in October. When I was in fifth grade my grandfather on my dad's side passed. He had a heart attack on my brother's birthday, went into critical on my dad's and died on mine. It hit us all hard, particularly my dad.

@knight66.

I didn't know Julius Caesar was a New Yorker. And thank you nacoran. Did you Ides change from month to month according to the obsolete and outlandish Roman calendar?

MP, I think it was just last year or the year before that I learned that the Ides weren't on the 15th in every month. I jokingly wished someone a happy Ides of July or something and was corrected.

The calendar is pretty strange. Personally, I like the idea of 12 months of 30 days each, with a 5 or 6 day festival tacked on the end, but maybe that's just my OCD.
