In order to quiet the slide in the mouthpiece of my Suzuki chro there are these little soft plastic cylinders that fit over the screws and keep the slide from making a CLACK! CLACK! sound.

Taking off the slide I managed to lose both cylinders. I fixed the problem by stripping wire and cutting the insulation into two tiny pieces to slide over the two crews that secure the mouthpiece. You have to find wire with soft plastic insulation. Just a thought to save time ordering parts.

You can also improvise slide bumpers with the barrel of a ball point pen - the top part with no ink in it. There may be some fine flexible tubing for fish tanks that might work as well.
