I know this forum is predominantly diatonic harps & Blues style music. But I recently purchased the new Hohner Discovery 48 chromatic harmonica. A real beautiful instrument. And I actually like it better than my Suzuki SCX-48 which I paid more for. If anyone hasn't tried it yet, go for it!

Glad you like it.

I do like the profile in the mouth, which is better than most chromatics - not too thick at the mouthpiece, with a sloping taper back to the body and no embouchure-breaking "bump" where the covers meet the mouthpiece.

And it's near that you can interchange parts between this model and the 270 Deluxe.

That said, I find it tight and small sounding. Exchanging the mouthpiece with other compatible chromatics (270 and 12-hole Herings), I found that small.tight sound following the mouthpiece around.
