A few weeks ago Cohen said he was ready to die. And now, sadly he has. He was a great songwriter.

Leonard Cohen: One of the greatest! He truly let you see, not only deeply into his soul, but even more deeply into your own!

One of my favorite lines of all time:

Like a bird on a wire, like a drunk in a midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free.

RIP Leonard!

He was a man who took the hard way and it showed. If you check out his videos his horn guy also played incredible chromatic and also an electric wind instrument which will vibrate in your soul and mind as well.
We are all a bit poorer today with this man's passing.

He now is conducting the Heavenly Choir in a beautiful version of "Hallelujah"

sad news indeed. Cohen was an artist in the truest sense of the word
Poet, Flamenco inspired picker, unique songwriter and a wise man . A man who often took years to craft a song - like a fine painting

Pointless Dylan comparison above. Why take attention from Cohen?

Some sweet Don Brooks harp along with beautiful Judy's voice

"Ring the bells that still can ring.
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack, a crack in everything.
That's how the light gets in." LC

Sounds like a blues ethos to me... RIP Mr. Cohen.

Love these lines. Very Zen.

Lucky to see LC in concert a few years ago on his big tour. Great band all around. Sound perfect. Best concert I have ever seen and heard.

My wife says if I write songs like him I can have the girls in bikinis, knowing full well there is no danger of that happening.
