Hope you enjoy the new live single video from my forthcoming album For Those Who Need The Blues. Just a good old fashioned dirty shuffle :)

Hah! I'm a fan. You are NOT playing it safe in that first video, sir! You're not just pushing at the edges, you're stomping all over them. I admire players who are trying to do something new within a traditionalist setting, and you're definitely working that territory.

The stuff you're doing on the high end reminds me just a little bit of Scott Albert Johnson; it has a kind of apparent randomness factor--"Step right up, folks! You never know which note he's going to jump off of, or land on!"--that is in fact driven by plenty of musical knowledge and "feel." There are some moves you're making that nobody else makes, and that means that you're nailing, or in the process of nailing, the three-second test: the "Who is THAT?" test when your songs come on the radio unannounced. I found myself listening to you that way, asking myself if, not knowing who the player was, I could hear something distinctive enough that, once the player was named, I could file it away and recognize it the next time. The answer is Yes.

That was pro level for sure. If that came up on the sat radio I would be pushing buttons to see who I was listening to.

Thanks for the great feedback everybody. I never get tired of basic twelve bar blues and the effect it has on people live. There's still a lot in those twelve bars to explore and I'm having fun exploring! :) Certainly what I'm finding with this release is that the public aren't tired of twelve bar blues either - which is a very happy situation indeed!
