I have improved my embossing tool to provide more flexibility (and safety) at the rivet end. With it, you can emboss with a wide range of angles all along the length of the slot.
OldGeezer: I only offer them as part of my kits but some of my dealers sell them separately.
I just shipped a bunch off to Rockin Rons. He should be ready to ship them early next week.
I've removed some non-essential stuff from my full kit and will now include the new embossing tool as well as the Extended French tuner instead of the regular French Tuner. The price will remain the same, though.
The original Sjoberg tool was hand-made (and hand tested, I believe - he signed them). The Seydel tool is mass-produced and I don't think it is quite as effective. It also hurts because the reed wrench part digs into your skin.
My tool is thinner than the either two which allows you to get a little closer at the rivet end of the slot. As mentioned in the video, it also allows you to emboss with a larger range of angles than the others.
I (too) make and test each one by hand. Most of my attention goes to getting the very tip right.
Finally, I offer full support with the purchase of my tools. If you have a question, just ask!
