add on (since hardly anyone limited themselves to three):
Jerry Garcia - A major influence on my approach to listening and playing.
Group improvisation as a 'weave' of layers and textures, - not just a series of lyrics, then individual leads. I also find him as soulful as any other player I've heard

Survey Totals? Someone should tally the responses. (Perhaps later I'll get to it)

re. Norton Buffalo. Glad to see a number of us have cited Norton. I mostly thought of him as a 'local hero' here in NorCal. I'd like to point out that Norton was not primarily a Blues guy, - though of course, especially with Roy, he played great Blues. If you haven't listened to Lovin in the Valley of the Moon and Desert Horizon, you're missing the bigger picture of what he's about- (and what the little 'blues harp' is capable of in other genres)

re. Taj - I though I was being 'different' - ha, He got at least 2 other nods.

Love Little Walter, Big Walter and Sonny Boy II, but it seems to come out sounding more like Musselwhite, who I'm not that crazy about. Go figure!
