You sound very tentative and a little noodly. Stay in the groove. Focus more on getting a riff that works and making it sound like you mean it. Around 2:10 you sounded more like you were getting it, but you needed to project a bit more. It was partially the recording, but I think your volume was kind of inconsistent across the range. Some notes were audible but others just seemed to cut out. After the 2:10 mark I liked it.

First off I liked it

Didnt sound remotely African to me but hey whats in a name

Lose the shaker and get a foot tambourine- it seemed you were distracterd by the shaker

guitar players timing is good- yours ....

face him so you can be on the same page

Just my worthless 2 cents or pence after playing in bands for sigh 50 years

thanks guys, tentative is the right word, thought it got better towards end, different time signature to what I'm used to, good idea on tambourine
