Is it possible that these three harmonicas share the same reedplates?
Or, more importantly for me, the same reeds?

Harpmaster and Bluesmaster reeds and plates are the same (Japanese)--Folkmasters come from China.

It is my understanding that the parts for all three harps are made in China. Bluesmaster and Harpmaster are then assembled in Japan.

Harpmaster / Bluesmaster are pretty decent harps. Not the best harps, but IMO the best harps for the money. Folkmaster is not the worst harp I've ever tried, just not worth bothering with.

Folkmaster reeds are made of brass, not phosphor bronze like Bluesmaster / Harpmaster, and have different dimensions.

Thanks.
A Folkmaster can be had here in Sweden for roughly half the price of a Harpmaster.
Can´t say I´m enamoured of them -- who can say that of *any* harmonica with protruding cover-plates? -- but they are alright as practice instruments. (I´m very hard on my harps so I always have to think of the cost.)
Maybe it´s time to try a Harpmaster.

I have not tried Harpmasters, but do have older Delta Frosts which were said to be similar to Harpmasters. I also have some Bluesmasters and older Folkmasters. My older Folkmasters helped me get by in seldom played keys when funds were short, but they are not in the same class as the Bluesmasters or older Delta Frosts.
Jason recently inferred that the new Delta Frosts are now significantly different than Suzuki Harpmasters; I don't know. I know that Blue Moon combs describe interchangeability of combs.

I DID recently find that I could put Manji reed plates in a Bluesmaster comb and covers!

I think a harpmaster or delta frost comb and cover plates with manji or fabulous reeds ,is one of the best harps you can make with non-custom parts .

The Harpmaster and Bluesmaster are manufactured in Japan.
That is my information, anyway--and I just asked Daron, that is what he believes as well.
Happy Honker, where did you get your information?

Blues master is a really good harp- except for OB's. It was my go-to until I got into OB's and then 1847's - which are a step up. I like how they sound and respond more than the Rocket I tried.
